Cheque Donation from County Town Aggregates

The Parish Council (PV PC) has been given £110 by County Town Aggregates (based in Enterprise Park) to go towards the maintenance and refurbishment of the Playground next to Piddle Valley First School. County Town Aggregates received the money from Brett Landscapes for reaching sales targets and generously passed it on to the Parish Council. In the picture, from left to right, are Jerry Puzey from County Town Aggregates, Shirley Stewart (Brett Landscapes) and Alan Phillips (Chair of PV PC) receiving the cheque on behalf of the council.

HGV Traffic in Piddlehinton

On another note, County Town Aggregates have been very receptive to discussions about HGV traffic along Rectory Rd in Piddlehinton. They are very keen to maintain good relations with the local residents and, while they have to consider economic pressures, they aim to encourage their drivers to use Slyers Lane as their first choice of route, to time runs for social hours whenever possible, and to reduce speeds to 20 mph in Piddlehinton. We will be contacting other companies using the Rectory Road route and hope that they will be as positive as County Town Aggregates.
